Brentwood Care Centre
At Brentwood Care Centre you’ll find a warm, homely environment where residents can relax, make friends and enjoy daily life. We provide care for people with complex medical and physical needs as well as those living with dementia. And whilst we give the highest levels of care at all times, we also promote independence. We help residents make their own choices so that they stay in control and maintain their individuality. The result is a safe and happy home filled with friendship and laughter.
Situated in the charming location of Pilgrims Hatch on the outskirts of the old town of Brentwood, our home is conveniently located close to a wide range of local amenities. The home sits in its own grounds and has a delightful, well-established garden for residents and visitors to enjoy. We are easy to reach by private or public transport, with a bus stop located right outside the main entrance.
All entrances have wheelchair access and the wide corridors make it easy to move around the building. There are also two lifts providing access to all three floors.
We have 112 single rooms which are light, airy and tastefully decorated with quality furnishings that enhance comfort and style. The heating in each room can be controlled individually so that each resident can have the temperature just how they prefer.
Residents can also have their own personal telephones, allowing them to keep in touch with friends and relatives. Our beautifully decorated communal areas provide relaxing spaces where residents can sit together or talk to one another.
Meal times at Brentwood Care Centre are a social occasion where people meet to enjoy delicious food and chat with others. The menu is carefully designed to meet nutritional needs as well as to whet the appetite. For residents who enjoy a glass of sherry or wine, these are available both at mealtimes and other times. There is also a selection of hot and cold drinks available throughout the day and night for both residents and visitors.
We want our residents to enjoy a full and varied life. That’s why we offer a wide programme of activities designed to meet the needs and preferences of all our residents. Activities include trips into the community for social events as well as activities and entertainment within the home. We have our own hair salon at the home with a hairdresser attending three days every week. We also respect our resident’s religious and spiritual preferences with regular church services at the home for those that wish to attend.
The home has a well-established team of highly-trained care staff many of whom have worked at the home since it opened in July 2006. All our staff complete a full and comprehensive induction and training programme that enables them to give high-quality care with confidence. We provide each resident with an individual care plan that meets all of their medical, physical, social and psychological needs.
Residents are also able to access medical facilities via their registered GP practice and local hospitals. In addition, we can provide support for residents and their families if visiting medical establishments such as hospitals and clinics.
